On 3 October 2024, the Nu Lambda Chapter at Western New England University became the 7th new chapter to be installed this year. Sean Bentley, 2024 IEEE-HKN President-Elect, presided over the installation ceremony where eight students and one professional took the oath to become HKN members. Graduate student and incoming chapter president, Daniel Williams acted as the master of ceremonies. Dr. Steven Li will serve as the chapter’s inaugural faculty advisor. When Dr. Li was inducted into the Eta Chapter at the 2023 IEEE Board Series last November, he became eager to bring HKN to Western New England University, where he is an associate professor of industrial engineering and engineering management.
The new chapter is already jumping into the HKN family sending a delegation to the 2024 IEEE-HKN Student Leadership Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. We are excited to support all the wonderful contributions that the Nu Lambda Chapter will make in the years to come!
