The Nominations and Appointments Committee of IEEE-HKN invites and encourages all active Chapters to submit nominations for the following open positions on the 2025 Board of Governors. The deadline for these nominations is 1 June, and we highly encourage all Chapters to nominate for all relevant positions.

The election for the positions will take place 1 October to 1 November.

Below you will find the criteria for positions for which nominations are being accepted and details regarding as to who can nominate.

2025 President-Elect
The nominee must:

  • Have been inducted into IEEE-HKN or Eta Kappa Nu Association
  • Be an active IEEE Senior Member or Fellow

Nominations accepted from:

  • Any active School Chapter submitted by their Chapter President
  • Any member of the 2023 IEEE-HKN Board of Governors
  • The IEEE Educational Activities Board Nominations and Appointments Committee

2025-2027 Governor at-Large
The nominee must:

    • Have been inducted into IEEE-HKN or Eta Kappa Nu Association
    • Be an active higher grade IEEE member
    • Have not served previously as an IEEE-HKN Governor

Nominations accepted from:

  • Any University Campus or Alumni Chapter
  • The IEEE-HKN Nominations and Appointments Committee

2025-2027 Regions 3-4 Governor
The nominee must:

  • Have been inducted into IEEE-HKN or Eta Kappa Nu Association
  • Be an active higher grade IEEE member
  • Have not served previously as an IEEE-HKN Governor
  • Have an IEEE primary address in IEEE Region 3 or Region 4

Nominations accepted from:

  • Any University Campus or Alumni Chapter in IEEE Region 3 or Region 4
  • The IEEE-HKN Nominations and Appointments Committee

2025 Student Governor
The nominee must:

  • Have been inducted into IEEE-HKN or Eta Kappa Nu Association
  • Be full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the time of their initial candidacy
  • Be a member in good standing of IEEE-HKN
  • Be an active IEEE Student or Graduate Student Member in 2025
