IEEE-HKN is pleased to announce it has received a 2024 APEX Award for Publication Excellence marking our 11th consecutive year of being recognized. THE BRIDGE, Issue 3, Volume 119, “Humanitarian Technologies for a Sustainable Society” has won a Grand Award in the Electronic Media category. The Apex Grand Award is highly competitive with only 100 winners chosen out of 1,100 plus entries. Congratulations to Jason Hui, Editor-In-Chief, Sampathkumar Veeraraghavan and Dr. Mohammed Essaaidi, co-Guest Editors, and the entire BRIDGE Editorial Board for this impactful issue.
Dr. Karen Panetta, IEEE-HKN 2019 President, was also recognized with an Apex Award of Excellence in the Writing/Type of Media Feature Writing category for Career Pathways in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision for Women in Industry and Academic: Turning the Tide, IEEE Women in Engineering.
