Norwich University, Theta Xi Chapter
Founded at the oldest private military college, the Norwich University chapter of IEEE-HKN (Theta Xi) has a rich history and a vibrant culture. Established to honor academic excellence and professional integrity, Theta Xi has been a cornerstone of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
The Theta Xi Chapter was established to recognize and promote outstanding achievements in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Over the years, it has cultivated a culture of excellence, leadership, and service. Members are known for their dedication to academic success, professional development, and community service. The chapter fosters a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
Originally led by Professor Michael Prairie, an esteemed alumnus who recently retired, the chapter is now guided by our new faculty advisor, Professor Michael Cross. Theta Xi engages in a variety of academic and professional activities, including workshops, guest lectures, and networking events designed to enhance the skills and career prospects of our members. The chapter also organizes community outreach programs, providing valuable resources and support to local schools and organizations.
Members of Theta Xi strive to serve Norwich University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department through extended resources and professional development. Our mission is to create new and exciting opportunities for our members to learn and succeed. We are committed to fostering a community of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
