Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, Nu Zeta

On November 9, 2023, the Nu Zeta chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) at ESPOL (Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral) in Guayaquil was approved by the Board of Governors, marking a significant advancement in the university’s pursuit of excellence in electrical and computer engineering, and related IEEE fields. This milestone established ESPOL as the first HKN chapter in South America, with its official inauguration taking place on February 20, 2024. The new chapter strives to uphold the values and principles of IEEE-HKN, creating a community of students and professionals recognized for their numerous accomplishments. The creation of the Nu Zeta chapter enhances ESPOL’s reputation as a center for innovation and technology and provides a foundation for aspiring engineers to excel in a setting committed to leadership, scholarship, innovation, and service. This achievement aligns with IEEE-HKN’s worldwide mission to foster a culture of engineering excellence, extending a legacy of over a century dedicated to celebrating remarkable contributions to the field.
