IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu has expanded its reach in Region 9 (Latin America and the Caribbean) by installing the new Nu Zeta Chapter at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral in Guayaquil, Ecuador! Welcome to the HKN family, Nu Zeta Chapter!
2023 IEEE-HKN President Sampathkumar Veeraraghavan presided over the Nu Zeta Chapter installation on 20 February 2024 where 13 students and one professional member took the oath to uphold HKN’s tenets of Scholarship, Character, and Attitude.
ESPOL’s rector, Cecilia Paredes, was also happy with the installation of this Chapter. “We are all aware of the benefits it will mean for all engineering careers, the university, and most importantly, for the students themselves,” she said.
The start of 2024 is an incredibly exciting time for HKN! In the coming weeks, three more university Chapters will be installed in Virginia, Puerto Rico, and Hungary! We look forward to sharing in those celebrations and congratulations to all involved in these efforts!
