Thank you to all the students, speakers, and sponsors who were a part of making our annual Student Leadership Conference, which took place 3-5 November, a tremendous success! Special thanks to our conference benefactor, the Samueli Foundation! Over 250 HKN students from across the world gathered at the University of Houston for three days of 20 impactful sessions and engaging discussions, 4 workshops, 4 regional meetings, and a recruitment fair featuring 35 companies, IEEE Societies, and Graduate Schools. On Saturday night of the conference, we had the honor of recognizing two Eminent Members–Frank Chang and Ming Hsieh. Dr. Karen Panetta received the Sperry Award on behalf of Dr. Asad Madni. The evening also featured the giving of 55 Key Chapter Awards for those Chapters who showed that they implemented best practices over the course of the 2022-2023 academic year. The energy and inspiration gained from the conference will be felt for a long time to come. It was great to see the commitment to scholarship, character, and attitude of all our HKN students as we look forward to bright futures and collaborations.
