Welcome to the IEEE-HKN Kappa Theta Chapter webpage. The Kappa Theta Chapter was originally established on February 26, 1994, and reinstated in 2023. Our mission is to serve the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Electrical and Computer Engineering department and students by creating opportunities for success now and in the future. We offer networking events, opportunities for academic and personal growth, and community outreach initiatives that positively impact Platteville and the world.

Founded in 1866, the University of Wisconsin–Platteville is a public university located in the scenic city of Platteville. Nestled in the rolling hills of southwest Wisconsin’s Driftless Region, Platteville is known for its rich mining heritage and distinctive landscape. The city is also home to the world’s largest “M”, a landmark monument built on a nearby hill.
