Southern Methodist University, Gamma Omicron Chapter

The Gamma Omicron Chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu was chartered at Southern Methodist University in 1957. The chapter recognizes excellence in electrical and computer engineering while promoting scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Gamma Omicron strengthens the SMU ECE community through social, academic, professional, and service activities that bring students and faculty together beyond the classroom. The chapter fosters a welcoming environment where members can share knowledge, build meaningful relationships, and develop their academic, professional, and leadership skills. Gamma Omicron also welcomes opportunities to collaborate with other IEEE-HKN chapters and IEEE Student Branches to exchange knowledge, organize joint activities, and contribute to the broader engineering community.
