These events were all funded by a Chapter Support Grant, an IEEE Foundation-supported initiative started by our very own Governor-at-Large John McDonald, established to create and enhance the resources, training, and programs every Chapter needs to be a strong, well-supported Chapter. If your Chapter is in good standing, you could be eligible to receive a Grant to fund a community service, academic support, or Chapter-building activity.
Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and funds will be remitted during the month following approval of the application by the IEEE-HKN Chapter and Ritual Committee.
Donating to the Student Chapter Support Fund allows us to fulfill our mission to give every student the chance to be part of a strong, well-supported Chapter.
University of Hawaii at Manoa – Delta Omega Chapter
The 2025 Delta Omega Chapter officers created a custom HKN tapestry, using funds from the Chapter Support Grant! The tapestry encapsulates their Chapter’s values, history, and commitment to excellence in electrical and computer engineering and will serve as an enduring symbol of the organization’s mission, serving as both a source of pride for current members and an inspiration for future cohorts of students. The centerpiece of the tapestry is an intricate design that incorporates the HKN logo, symbols representing the fields of electrical and computer engineering, and the Delta and Omega symbols. Great job, Delta Omega!
Politecnico Di Torino, Italy – Mu Nu Chapter
The Mu Nu Chapter celebrated their eighth birthday this past April with their annual Chapter-wide celebration. The Chapter catered food, true to their roots, in an Italian fashion, and a room filled with members past and present came together to honor the Chapter’s journey and growing legacy.
New members were welcomed with an interactive quest game, an engaging four-task challenge designed to uncover fun facts and stories from fellow members, serving as the perfect icebreaker and a spirited dive into Mu Nu’s culture. Meanwhile, a lottery added an extra touch of excitement for all attendees.
It was more than a party, it was a celebration of unity, growth, and the vibrant community that powers Mu Nu. Here’s to many more years of success ahead!Â
