Be a Part of HKN’s Second Hackathon!

Attention all HKN members:

Mark your calendars for the second-ever HKN Hackathon, happening this fall in honor of HKN’s 15 year anniversary of merging with IEEE! 

Last year, 12 teams from Chapters around the world, took on challenges in electrical engineering, computer science, and math to help our founders “defeat” nemesis figures and stay true to HKN’s core values. For example, Maurice L. Carr faced obstacles in establishing a second University Chapter when a dean failed to grasp the importance of HKN. In our hackathon narrative, teams helped Carr “travel” through time by solving electronics tasks, enabling him to found the Beta Chapter. Five winning teams earned prizes sponsored by TestEquity, and representatives from the winning teams presented their best work virtually to a jury of IEEE and IEEE-HKN professionals on Founders Day (28 October). This year, teams from around the world will be invited to face a real challenge that HKN chapters are confronting. Ready to take it on? Team up with your chapter or join global teams to hack the best solution and win incredible prizes!
