Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime transport, Mu Beta

The Mu Beta Chapter was installed at Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Abu Kir Campus on April 29th, 2018. It is the first chapter in Egypt and Africa. The aim of the Mu Beta Chapter is to instill the values and practices of the Eta Kappa Nu in our future engineers and provide them with the sense of fellowship and distinction in the fields of Electrical, Communications and Computer Engineering. Mu Beta Chapter also provides STEM outreach activities to Pre-University students through its Kidzineers program launched in 2020.

Alexandria is the second-largest city in Egypt and a major economic center, extending about 32 km along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the north central part of the country. Hellenistic Alexandria was best known for the Lighthouse of Alexandria (Pharos), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; its Great Library (the largest in the ancient world; now replaced by a modern one); and the Necropolis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.
