Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime transport, Mu Beta

The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, AASTMT IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE-HKN) chapter was founded on April 29th, 2018. It is the first chapter in Region eight. The aim of our chapter is to instill the values and practices of the Eta Kappa Nu in our future engineers and provide a sense of fellowship bound by distinction in the field of electrical, communication and computer engineering.

Alexandria is the second-largest city in Egypt and a major economic centre, extending about 32 km along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in the north central part of the country. Hellenistic Alexandria was best known for the Lighthouse of Alexandria (Pharos), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; its Great Library (the largest in the ancient world; now replaced by a modern one); and the Necropolis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.
