Tecnologico de Monterrey, Lambda Rho Chapter

The Lambda-Rho Chapter was created in 2013, in the city of Monterrey, Mexico at Tecnologico de Monterrey, being the first Honors chapter in Latin America. The Lambda Rho chapter of the IEEE – Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Honors Society organizes workshops, conferences, courses, exhibitions, competitions and innovation events in order to increase the number of participants and members with excellent qualifications. The current president (2019-2021) of the Lambda-Rho HKN Chapter is Juan MIsael Gongora Torres, a doctoral student at Tecnologico de Monterrey in the Engineering Sciences program.

The Chapter is part of the Telecommunications Research Group at the School of Engineering and Sciences connecting undergraduate and graduate students with industry through research projects. The group Space Makers was created as part of the Research efforts to extend these to the undergraduate community.
