This SLC, HKN introduced a new recognition meant to showcase advisors that go above and beyond for their Chapter. The IEEE-HKN Advisors of Distinction recognition honors chapter advisors who have provided long-term, outstanding guidance to their chapters, mentoring student leaders, sustaining effective operations, and promoting HKN’s mission within their campus communities.
Nominations can be submitted at any time; all nominations received by September 15 will be evaluated for that year, with recognized advisors announced at the Student Leadership Conference. Those recognized will be permanently highlighted on the Advisors of Distinction page, receive a certificate and gift, and be publicly announced through multiple venues.
These first honorees set the standard for excellence in advisor leadership, embodying the values of scholarship, character, and service that define IEEE-HKN.
